Dog With Severe Head Injuries Re-Learns How To Jump For Joy

A dog with head injuries so severe was found on the streets of India. He could barely walk and his prognosis was not good. It would seem that the only logical next step was to put him to sleep. But thanks to this charity in India which helps rescue injured and abused animals, he made a full recovery.

Animal Aid Unlimited  is an animal rescue operation based in Udaipur, India that is doing some amazing things to help rescue and give urgent medical treament to animals found injured or neglected on the streets of the city. They have been on a mission to rescue and treat injured animals. Erica, Jim and Claire Abrams from Seattle, Washington in the United States started the charity in 2002 and further opened the animal aid hospital in 2003. They also run workshops educating the community in animal welfare.

Meet 'Mighty' a sweet and loving golden haired dog. He had been hit by a car and was bleeding from a wound on his head.  He was taken in by Animal Aid Unlimited and treated for his injuries. Although he survived the accident, his future looked a little bleak. Following surgery, he could barely eat or walk, let alone stand up.

One week after his treatment he began to stand, although he was still a little shaky and off-balance. This little guy slowly but surely regained his balance, appetite and was soon springing around the shelter after a number of weeks.

Watch the full heartwarming video below to see his recovery and what he's up to now.

5 Children Raised By Animals

Remember The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling? It tells the story of a boy in India who was raised by wolves and was best friends with a bear and a panther.  How about Tarzan, the man raised by apes?
Here are five incredible true cases of children who were raised by animals. It's mind blowing to think that these children could survive being raised by anyone other than their own species. These children even learned how to mimic the behavior of the animals that were their guardians.

We hope you enjoyed the video, please share with your friends and family.

Pig Defies Odds To Escape Slaughter and Gives Birth to 9 Piglets

This is the touching video of a sow who jumped from a flatbed truck on route to the slaughterhouse. The sow, now named Rita, was found by the side of the road by animal control and taken to the nearest facility which happened to be a shelter for stray cats and dogs. Whilst in their care, Rita gave birth to 14 piglets.

The shelter waited for someone to claim Rita and her piglets as per the law, but fortunately for the sow and her 9 surviving piglets no one came. Animal Place re-homed Rita and her family. The video below shows Rita and her piglets enjoying life at their new home in Grass Valley, California.
